About the Event

Introduction to Electronics - consists of a short 15 minute presentation over zoom with researchers from CONNECT, an SFI research centre based at Tyndall National Institute Cork, followed by a 15 - 20 minute hands on activity.

Students will be introduced to electricity, electronics, new terminology and key pieces that are required to make a circuit work. They will have the opportunity to create a fully functioning paper circuit card out of copper tape, a coin cell battery and a LED (Light Emitting Diode). Materials will be posted to the school in advance.

Students need to have their own cellotape and a pencil. Everything else will be supplied.

Please note the instructor will require access to your classroom through Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Cork Science Festival will send you this log on link. Contact will be made in advance to confirm and or test internet signal.
