Celebrate Science - INSIGHT & CRT-AI - Activity Stand

This interatcive activity will showcase an artificial intelligence tool called DALL-E which is an AI system that creates realistic images and art from a textual description. Researchers will also demonstrate the simple description of biomechanics of walking and human activity monitoring using wearable sensors  plus making a ramp walking toy to explain the mechanics of walking. These demonstrations will be lead by researchers from the The Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and the The SFI Centre for Research Training in Artificial Intelligence. Visitors will get the chance to meet researchers from the Centre to learn about their research.

Researchers will also demonstrate the principles of computer science in a way that is accessible and fun for primary school-aged children through the use of paper-based puzzles and games in the spirit of the CS-Unplugged initiative. Web: https://www.csunplugged.org
