About the Event
Stretch your creative muscles by building your own homemade chain reaction machine! Learn the simple science behind machinery and use anything you can find at home a new, crazy and silly machine of your own.
You will need:
- Something that rolls: e.g. marbles, ping pong ball, tennis ball or even an orange
- Tracks to roll on: e.g. toilet roll cardboard, toy train tracks, piping or tubes
- Things that fall: e.g. Dominoes, lego bricks, lots of books, cereal boxes, cups, lollipop sticks or balloons
- Useful equipment: scissors, a roll of tape, string, some paper and colouring pens
The main thing about a Rube Goldberg machine is that you can really use anything you find around the house, recyclable things are great, the more creative and wacky the better. Everybody can join in with what they have available to them.
How will it work? All ticket holders will be contacted with details of how to access the Zoom link and instructions on how to take part, prior to the event.
Recommended audience: Fun for the whole family
Running time: 35 minutes
