Monday 12th November
Event: PLANT// STEAM Workshop
Time: 10.30 am
Audience: Junior Cycle Students
Location: James Barry Exhibition Centre
Details: In collaboration with the CIT Arts office and the CIT Physical Sciences department. Students will have the opportunity to participate hands on and experience artwork, by CCAD graduates Muireann Kelliher and Geraldine McCarthy, where they will explore ideals and information in materials, processes and time.
Wednesday 15th November
Event: Surprising Science
Time: 10.30 am, 11.30 am and 1.00 pm
Audience: Junior Cycle Students
Location: Rory Gallagher Theatre
Details: SFI Roadshow with Matt Pritchard, a show filled with science tricks, stunts and puzzles! Matt challenges the audience to discover the sneaky scientific secrets behind surprising illusions.
Thursday 16th November
Event: Sports Science
Time: 1.00 pm
Audience: Junior Cycle Students
Location: Melbourne Building, CIT
Details: In collaboration with the Department of Sport, Leisure and Childhood Studies CIT. Alan Dunton, PhD Candidate and Departmental technician will demonstrate how science and technology is used in sports.
